Well, folks, it's March and Spring is in the air. Actually, here in Texas it feels like Summer is in the air and it's really ticking me off. But at least I have one thing going for me and that's that I'm not Catholic. This menas I don't have to give up anything for Lent...like watching DVD's or on-line gambling. I am of Irish descent, however, and will definitely be celebrating St. Patrick's day by turning my liver a brilliant shade of Budweiser yellow. Anyway, onto my picks of the month for MARCH...

Best of the Electric Company

Remember this show? Me either. Well, I do remember that it was like Seasame Street for the smarter, non-glue sniffing kids and, best of all, they usually had a live-action Spider-Man sketch, wherein Spidey would corner some bad guy wearing a black and white striped shirt and he'd stick the guy to a wall using a bunch of white nylon rope in the shape of a web. Sure beats the hell out watching those two gay puppets on Seasame Street. This recommendation was brought to you by the letter 'M'.

The next one is supposed to be called: Harry Potter and the Big Ass Warehouse Full of Money. These fantastic books and movies have raked in the dough for J.K. Rowling who has really found her nich in catering to young children's demands for first rate fiction on the wonderful world of Satanic Witchcraft.

Basic Instinct: Ultimate Edition

When this movie came out the sex scenes were considered so graphic that it launched the film into scandal and controversy. It also launched several ounces of DNA out of underage teens who were able to sneak into theaters to see it.

The Sandlot

There's not much I can say about this one. Like most nostalgia-intensive movies about kids growing up in the late fifties / early sixties, it's fantastic. Definitely a must see for any Baby Boomer, assuming there are any still alive.
