The Fly
Release Date: 10/4

Usually Jeff Goldblum plays a witty, sardonic, subtly brilliant scientist in his movie roles. He plays that here too. He also plays a disgusting bile puking humanoid fly thing. What range! Dirctor Cronenberg really swatted this one out of the park. One of the best horror movie remakes out there, which doesn't really say much, since the fly in the original was made mostly out of paper machet and chicekn wire.

Peanuts Classic Holiday Collection

Who doesn't love Charlie Brown? Except for Lucy, that coniving bitch. Just once I'd like to see Charlie beat the smirk off her face when she pulls that football away. Stupid slut. But that won't happen here, because these classic Peanuts toons are full of Christmas cheer! And childhood manic depression! Peanuts wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable if Charlie Brown had been on Zoloft. Wait a minute...that skank Lucy was also Charlie's psychiatrist! She was keeping him depressed for her own sick amusement!

The Abyss: Special Edition
Release Date: 10/18

This movie pretty much paved the way for CGI in film. And yet, unlike most movies with CGI that followed, this movie was actually good. And so was the CGI! Why does one of the first ever CGI effects look better than most current CGI?! I remember when I first saw the CGI in The Abyss I immediately set my stupid little unworthy 8 bit Nintendo System on fire.

Cool Hand Luke
Release Date: 10/18

One cool think about Luke is that he can work all day in the hot sun on a chain gang and still put down 50 hard boiled eggs a night. That's the healthiest thing I've ever heard of. Excuse me whilst I go vomit my entire digestive system up.

Cannibal Holocaust
Release Date: 10/25

I had never heard of this movie untill I went scanning DVD Empire for my Picks of the Month, but I was instantly intrigued. Supposedly one of the scariest, goriest, freakiest horror movies out there, so it's a MUST SEE! It is also thought to be the inspiration for The Blair Witch Project which is a similar style movie except that it is a comedy. BWP is a comedy right? Cause it sure as hell isn't scary.
