This was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. I went to school dressed as one of the Rescue Rangers for Halloween once. You'd be amazed at how quickly a principal can dial a telephone when a ten year old boy shows up to school wearing a bomber jacket and no pants.

At the time, this movie was on the cutting edge of special effects by using highly detailed miniatures and painstakingly tedious stop motion animation. Modern technology has now allowed modern movie makers to create dazzling special effects in a fraction of the time and with a fraction of the man power. Amazingly, these special effects generally come out looking just as shitty.

This modern day remake of the classic sci-fi thriller comes from the blockbuster duo of Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise who brought us Minority Report. Despite this, the movie is actually not all that bad.
