The Black Tight Killers are a team of lethal go-go dancing female assassins. Armed with fantastic weapons like exploding bubble gum, razor sharp throwing-LPs, and golf ball bombs, they track down some stolen gold and kill anyone who gets in their way. Of course, when they aren’t kicking-ass, they make sure to find time for some go-go dancing.
I’ll be honest... even directly after watching this movie I couldn’t have summarized the plot for you. I know it involved stolen gold, a missing niece, and some shadowy thugs, but I’m not exactly sure how they all tied together. Maybe it was the poor subtitles, maybe it was the late hour, or maybe the movie just doesn’t make sense. Whichever it was, surprisingly, it didn’t detract from my enjoyment. This is just one of those movies you watch, and even though aren’t sure what’s going on, you have a really good time. The colors are so vibrant and clothes are so mod, you’d swear they came straight from a Tarantino wet dream. Black Tight Killers, with its convoluted and indecipherable plot, may not be a great movie… but you’d be hard pressed to find a more stylish one. The DVD contains a trailer for the movie and a great 20 minute interview with director Yasuharu Hasebe (Female Prisoner Scorpion: #701, Stray Cat Rock: Sex Hunter).
